Care for older people
Our aim is to provide care homes that offer a safe, comfortable environment with support and stimulation to help service users maximise their potential physical, intellectual, emotional and social capacity. Service users have the right to live as normal a life as possible and to have the respect of those who support them.
All our homes have busy activities programmes including handicrafts, quizzes, reminiscence sessions, music and movement, cookery and art therapy. Sussex Health Care also has access to experts in a diverse range of therapies - physiotherapy, occupational therapy and reflexology for example.
Mealtimes are important in our homes and our trained chefs use good quality fresh ingredients to create tasty wholesome dishes that are elegantly prepared and served.
These homes provide accommodation, meals, social and person centred care in a welcoming, homely environment. Support is available 24 hours a day by qualified and experienced staff. Physiotherapy, occupational therapy and reflexology are available on request.
Care homes with nursing

The support of qualified nursing staff is available 24 hours a day for those service users who have more complex health needs. Physiotherapy, occupational therapy and reflexology are available on request.
Specialist dementia care
These homes provide specialist dementia care in addition to the other services available at all our care homes for older people. Deepnding on the level of need, care can be provided in one of our nursing, residential or specialist dementia units. Person centred care is provided by experienced and trained staff who understand the needs of people with dementia.
The homes are also ideally located for respite breaks and short stays - weekdays or weekends are available within all our services.
For those people who are chronically or terminally ill, Sussex Health Care homes have links with their local communities to support the Gold Standard Framework for End of Life Care ensuring a compassionate, specialist approach to the control of pain and of symptoms.
